a memory play
The Diary of a Teenage Girl is a theatrical endeavor, adapted from the
graphic novel The Diary of a Teenage Girl, by Phoebe Gloeckner. Reading
the book in the beginning of 2007 was such a jarring and life-changing
experience for Marielle Heller, she began the process of acquiring the
theatrical adaptation rights. She is adapting the novel for the stage, and
has brought in the directing team of Sarah Cameron Sunde and Rachel
Eckerling. The creative team, as such, is being mentored by Tony Taccone,
Artistic Director of Berkeley Rep.
