MONROE (Male 40ish) A big child, Monroe is a product of the 70s. He is wandering in his life, drinks too much, wants more but is stuck. He is handsome and goofy at the same time. He’s tall. He can at the turn of the dime be adorable and then menacing. He’s very sexually attracted to Minnie, despite his age.
Sides for Monroe
CHARLOTTE (Female 40ish) Was quite a piece in her time. Charlotte has lived, and wears her experiences on her face. She still looks good, but won’t in a few years. An alcoholic and a kind of swinger. Charlotte is the 1970s. She is neglectful to her daughters, but still warm. She is not a cliche, and has her vulnerable side too. She is jealous of her 15 year old daughter and constantly comparing herself to her.
Sides for Charlotte
KIMMIE (Female 18+ to play 16) Kimmie is advanced for her age. She is the friend who gets you into trouble. Farrah Faucet hairdo… wears tall platforms. She is one of those messed up kids who manages to get straight A’s.
Sides for Kimmie
PASCAL (Male 45) A nerdy man with a slightly sexy side. Pascal is a know-it-all science guy, with a logic for everything. For most of the play he seems like he has potential parenting skills, and we need to believe he is good and safe. But his own moral code is fuzzy. He sleeps with his daughter’s best friend, and asks her not to get too puritanical about the whole thing. He’s filled with hot air.
